Stunning Renovations to classic villa
Everything in this project had to be in keeping with the beauty of a classic villa. From classic villa turned timber handrails to batten ceilings it was all replaced to look exactly like before but better. An outdoor pergola was added with fretwork and timber joinery to match but altered to create much better indoor outdoor flow to the pool.
The Pool
We started with the pool on this project as it required several months of heavy excavation and concrete work. This pool is sitting on a floating concrete pad above ground on heavily engineered foundations that reach the bedrock 6m into the ground. We had a blast building this deck and pool foundations as it was technical but rewarding to see it all come together in such a beautiful way in the end. We then did some very technical internal modifications by changing the front door location and moving the main level bathroom and creating a media room.
But the renovations were not done yet
A year later we were asked to return to do the kitchen and finish the main level modifications. This also involved making a foyer, bedroom and new flooring to match existing with hard to find matia flooring. Villa mouldings and trim were used to match so the house looked as one original villa.
The final finishes
Another two years passed and we were asked to return to renovate the two upper bathrooms so the consented work could now all be completed. These bathrooms were fully tiled with stunning features and frameless glass showers, custom vanities and high end fittings made these bathrooms stand out.
